Hey there, Olga! Welcome to planDisney!
I bet your Mouseketeers are excited to come to Florida for a visit with the Best. Aunt. Ever! We
Floridians can indeed buy tickets for kids under the age of 18. She'll just need to provide her
proof of Florida residency at one of the
Guest Relations locations at the Theme Park entrances or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. I recommend your aunt
buy the tickets in advance on the Walt Disney World website for a couple of reasons. First, buying in advance means there won't be any surprises when they get to the Theme Parks. As she's going through the steps to make the purchase, she'll know exactly what information is needed. Since your kids are on your My Disney Experience account, though,
you shouldn't make a second profile for them on your aunt's account. It's best to invite your aunt to
connect to the Family & Friends feature on My Disney Experience, and then you can give her permission to make plans for your kids. I'm not sure if that will affect her ability to buy them Florida Resident tickets, but I think it's the best way to make your plans.
Another reason it's important for your aunt to buy the tickets in advance is that she'll need to make
Disney Park Pass reservations for the Theme Parks they plan to visit each day. She needs to have the tickets squared away before she's able to make reservations. Also, having you on her Family & Friends list will allow her to make those reservations for the kids. I think this should work, but if she hits any bumps in the road, she can always
give Disney's Guest Relations a call. I've had many a Cast Member untangle some knots for me!
One thing I know for sure, Olga, is that the kids will want to bring home some souvenirs from their Walt Disney World adventure! You might consider giving each of them their own
Disney Gift Card to take along with them so they can pick out some treasures. You'll love hearing the stories behind each one!
I hope this helps you and your aunt plan an amazing visit to the Walt Disney World Resort for your kids, Olga. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
