My Aunt who lives in SoCal, bought my son a ticket to Disneyland as a birthday gift, we live in Northern California. Is he able to use that ticket? Please advise

Greetings, and welcome to planDisney, Annmarie!

Firstly, I would like to wish your precious son a very Happy Birthday, and to thank you ever so kindly for your patience in waiting for this response from planDisney - as the world is gradually emerging from the recent crisis with COVID-19 questions to planDisney have been ever so popular.

In reading the stipulations for the Southern California Resident Weekday Ticket Offer, I extrapolated the conditions for use of these particular types of theme park tickets, which state, “Offer valid for Southern California residents within ZIP codes 90000 to 93599; proof of eligible residency, including valid government-issued photo ID, is required for purchase and admission. Each day of use constitutes one full day of use. Guests may purchase up to 5 tickets, per eligible person per day with valid ID.” I interpret this to mean that your son has to be eligible to receive one of these theme park tickets, now I could be mistaken, and you could possibly interpret it differently, therefore, I strongly recommend that you Contact Disneyland Resort “Tickets” for clarification and assistance with this type of theme park ticket if they determine that your son is not eligible.

If indeed your son is ineligible to receive this type of theme park ticket, then I apologize and can suggest that your aunt then purchase a standard child’s Disneyland Resort theme park ticket in the form of a Disney eTicket, which she would receive the QR code via an email which then she could email to you for your child’s use.

Once the Disneyland Resort theme park ticket for your son has been settled, I recommend you make your Disneyland Resort - Theme Park Reservation using your valid theme park tickets, as this is currently the process for gaining entry into the Disneyland Resort theme parks.

What a lovely gesture from your aunt, perhaps, if you are visiting Disneyland Resort together, you can all enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many Disneyland Resort dining venues to share your experiences from your theme park touring and to celebrate your son's birthday!

Thank you for consulting planDisney, Annmarie, I wish you all the happiest visit to Disneyland Resort, and your precious son a very Happy Birthday!

    ~ Jacqueline
