Going to Aulani in 5 weeks and staying in a 1 bedroom villa w/ standard view. Any tips which part of the resort/floor I can request to get the "best" standard view? I know the choices are limited...

Aloha Marie!  Lucky you to be visiting Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in just one month!  It truly is a very special place, and I know you and your family are going to have a great time there.  The nice thing about the standard view rooms at Aulani is that they require less points and therefore you can stay longer.  The downside to the standard view rooms is that the views really aren't that great.  All of the standard view rooms have a view of either the parking lot,  parking garage, or conference center.  Since they are located on floors 3 - 7, I would think requesting the highest floor possible, like 7, would be your best bet for getting "the best of the bad views".

Don't worry too much if you get a less-than-desirable view, Marie.  There is so much to do and keep you entertained outside of your room,  that we found we were so very rarely on our balcony, and we really regretted spending the extra points for ocean view.  Believe me, the views all around Aulani are a sight to behold, so you may find yourself in your room only to sleep!

Thank you for your question, and I truly wish you a wonderful and magical vacation at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.  Please don't hesitate to ask me any other questions you have before your trip!
