When does Aulani start taking reservations for Sept 2015? We are cruising the Hawaii cruise and want to spend a few days before the cruise and want to use my military discount also. When can I make reservations?

    Hi Darla,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  What a spectacular vacation you are planning!  A few days at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, followed by a Hawaiian itinerary on Disney Cruise Line sounds wonderful.

If you are using a traditional payment method such as a credit card, you can book rooms at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa 499 days in advance.  This would include all of September 2015, so you should be able to make the reservation now by calling 1-866-443-4763.  If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member and want to book this vacation using Disney Vacation Club vacation points, you can book 11 months ahead if this is your home resort, and seven months ahead if you have a different home resort.  If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, you can call Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 to make the reservation, but you will need to wait for the 11 month or seven month time frames to open up to do so.

If you are paying with a traditional payment method such as a credit card, there is typically a discount at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, available to members of the United States military.  The discount is usually 25% off, and sometimes includes free breakfast.  Although the discount has not yet been released for the dates that you are traveling, I suggest that you go ahead and make your reservation as soon as you can.   When you see the discount come out for your travel dates, you can call to get the discount, which should be no problem as long as there is availability.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Darla.  Have a great time planning your Hawaiian vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
