We are going to Aulani Sept 20th - 26th, 2026. We would like to book the Ka Wa'a Luau but the website is showing 0 seats available.

Aloha, Holly! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. It's always a great idea to have a Disney adventure on the horizon to look forward to, and I'm so excited to hear that you'll be taking a journey beyond the reef to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. I'll be right by your side as your personal Wayfinder to track down the information you need for your September vacation.

If you haven't been to Aulani before, you are absolutely going to love it! The resort offers all of the amenities that you would expect from a Disney resort, but combines these with Hawaiian art and architecture in a way that's truly unique. From the pools to the world-class spa to the Disney touches around every corner, it all makes for an unforgettable vacation.

Our family has been lucky enough to experience KA WA'A, the luau that's held on select nights at the resort. It's an amazing evening of Hawaiian music, dance, and food, and it's a can't-miss Aulani experience. My girls still talk about it years later!  Holly, reservations for the luau typically open 4-6 months before the event date. While the website currently shows no events scheduled beyond August, you can rest assured that the luau is held year-round. I spoke with a Cast Member, who confirmed that September dates have not been loaded into the calendar. I recommend checking back over the next few weeks so you can book your dates.

Dining reservations for the excellent on-site restaurants 'AMA'AMA and Makahiki - The Bounty of the Islands will be available beginning 45 days before your check-in date. Be sure to mark your calendar so you can get the times and days that you're hoping for. We always like to book the Character breakfast at Makahiki - it's a classic Disney experience with a tropical twist!

Beyond KA WA'A, there are all sorts of excursions around Oahu that you should definitely check out. These include active options like zip-lining, surf lessons, and hiking, as well as traditional tours of the island. On both occasions when we've visited Aulani, we've booked a Pearl Harbor tour that picks you up right at the resort. It's a truly moving experience, and an incredible opportunity to learn more about American history.

I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes, Holly! Please come see our planDisney 'Ohana any time if we can help with other questions to make your Aulani vacation a practically perfect one - we're always here to help.

    A hui hou!
