Aloha Roxanne! Thanks for your question about Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa! The rainy season actually begins in November and by December is in full swing, so if golfing is in your plans, it's best to try and avoid it. A good thing about October is that it is technically "off season" with regards to tourism, so you may find some nice discounts on accommodations at Aulani. Currently, Aulani does not offer a package that includes dining, although in the past there have been some offers that did include breakfast, etc. I would suggest that if you are going to be occupied with activities outside of your room, that you book a standard view and not waste the extra money for a pool or ocean view, when you won't really be taking advantage of that. The premium experiences offered at Aulani include surfing lessons, crafts and spa treatments, but these are all optional and bookable individually if something catches your eye. The great thing about Aulani is that there are so many "inclusive-type" features, you can definitely find lots to do without spending any extra money if you don't want to.
I suggest you consider renting a vehicle. This way, you can get to any of the golf courses you need to, plus you have the added benefit of being able to explore the island of Oahu on your own. There are many great attractions and beaches to visit, all within an easy drive from Aulani. The excursions desk at Aulani is really helpful in suggestions or helping you to book any activities you'd like to do outside of the resort, including golf, and I would recommend a drive up to the North Shore!
Roxanne,
Aulani is really a magical place! I urge you to explore their website to view all of the activities and dining options, and you can even make your dining reservations online. Please let me know if you have any other questions, and I would be happy to help you.
