We are going to Aulani in June of this year, and are DVC members staying in a 2-bedroom ocean view villa. In order to have a spectacular view, can you make a recommendation of where we should request our lodging? High floor? Which tower?

    Hi Claire,

Wow, a stay at Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa in a two-bedroom ocean view villa sounds absolutely wonderful!

I spoke with some of my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists, who did recommend, as you thought, that requesting a room on a higher floor may afford you a better view of the ocean.  I also found a discussion thread on the unofficial site disboards.com which has some thoughts on views as well as links to photographs of views from certain villas at Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa.  Go to disboards.com and search for the thread titled "Aulani Villas & Views" to find that discussion thread.

If you made your reservation through Disney Vacation Club, you can call Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 to make your request.  You can also try calling Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa directly at (714) 520-7001 to make the request as it gets closer to your vacation.  Please know that while Disney will do their best to honor any requests, they are not guaranteed.

I want to thank my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists Erin, Kari, Beth C., and Andrea for their help with this answer.  Have a wonderful time planning your trip, Claire, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
