Aloha Fuamatala,
Mahalo for stopping by planDisney with your question. How exciting that in just a couple of weeks, you will be enjoying the spirit of Aloha with the magic of Disney at one of my favorite places,
Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. We have gone twice and are heading there again this summer! Like Stitch, there's no place I'd rather be than on a surfboard out at sea riding the Hawaiian roller coaster ride. Doing it with the extra pixie dust that Disney provides makes it even that much more special.
Fuamatala, I wish I could give you an answer about your Waitlisted room. Unfortunately, we don't have access to that at planDisney. Typically, if your Waitlisted room becomes available it will be automatically booked for you. If you are not moved off of the Waitlist within 7 days prior to your arrival, unfortunately, that often means you will not be able to get the room you hoped for through
Disney Vacation Club. There are some helpful
Frequently Asked Questions about the Waitlist on the Disney Vacation Club website that may give you some additional information.
You do have the option, pending room availability, to pay cash for that additional room so that your 'ohana can join you on this special trip. Fuamatala, because your trip is coming up soon, I recommend that you contact
Aulani directly to check on the status of your Waitlist or to see if there are any rooms available for a cash booking.
You can also try contacting Disney Vacation Club
Member Services as well, however, typically they do not have much information as the Waitlist is based on availability. But they may be able to give you more specific information about your account.
I understand this is not what you hoped to hear, but I am wishing upon a star that your Waitlisted room becomes available for you so that your whole 'ohana can join you on your Hawaiian adventure.
If I can help you with any other DVC or Disney vacation planning questions, as well as my favorite things to do at Aulani, stop back and see me here. Here at planDisney, we are your Disney vacation planning 'ohana. 'Ohana means family, and that means nobody gets left behind.
See ya real soon,
Keri
