Aloha, Elizabeth!
What can I say except you're welcome here at planDisney! How exciting that you are planning ahead for your vacation to
Aulani Resort. Our family has visited this special Resort several times. When the magic of Disney meets the spirit of Aloha, it is truly a special, memorable experience.
Elizabeth, dining reservations at Aulani can be made beginning
30 days in advance of the date in which you would like to dine. In my experience, reservations are a good idea, especially for the
character breakfast at Makahiki and the evening sunset dining at
'Ama'Ama. But, usually, there is a good amount of availability, even when you are staying on the property. That said, I would mark your calendar for 30 days from the date you wish to dine to ensure you get the dining time you prefer.
One tip I have, Elizabeth, is if you plan to enjoy the
KA WA'A Luau and do not see reservations online, call the Resort reservation line. Sometimes they have access to available seating that is not showing online. This is how we secured our Preferred Seating at the luau on our visit last year.
For your second question, the
DVC Member Celebration takes place on most Mondays. The event typically begins at 8:00 AM, and Guests are asked to arrive and check in at 7:45 AM. You can stop by the Disney Vacation Club Preview Center at Aulani to confirm your spot and the date, time, and location of the event. Sometimes, the days change, but you can check with the Preview Center when you arrive to confirm.
Any schedule changes may also be posted in the
Daily 'Iwa, which is the daily calendar on the Aulani app. It is a good idea to download this to your phone, as this is where you will see the daily activities happening at the Resort each day.
I hope this helps you, Elizabeth! If you have any further questions, surf back here to see us. Here at planDisney, you are part of our 'ohana. 'Ohana means family, and that means nobody gets left behind.
