Aulani character breakfast. Can an 11 year old order from kids menu or do they pay adult price as they are over 9? My 11 year old won’t eat the adult mean items

Aloha, Sophie! It's wonderful to see you again at planDisney. How exciting that you'll be taking a trip beyond the reef to visit Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa! This Hawaiian paradise is the perfect spot for a magical family adventure, and I'm happy to help with your question.

If you haven't been to Aulani before, you are in for a treat. The resort was designed with inspiration and input from the local community and artisans, and the result is something truly unique. It's an amazing blend of Hawaiian culture and traditions - with some Disney touches included, of course! One iconic Disney experience that you might recognize from your travels to Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort is the Character Breakfast offered at Makahiki - The Bounty of the Islands. Guests can start their day with some quality time with Mickey Mouse and pals, dressed in their island best, before heading out for fun in the sun.

Sophie, I spoke to a Cast Member at Aulani who said that the keiki (children's) menu pricing is only available for children aged nine and younger. Your 11-year-old is welcome to order from the kids' menu, but you will be charged the adult price. If this changes your mind about the breakfast, it's good to know that Mickey and friends are out and about throughout the day. You can always grab a bite elsewhere (we love the breakfast options at Off the Hook) and consult the Daily 'Iwa for the day's schedule of Character Greetings.

While you're taking a peek at the Daily 'Iwa, be sure to take note of the various recreation options that sound appealing to your family! Some of the most popular experiences, like ukulele lessons and making your own Mickey ears, require a reservation - so it's good to plan for those. I also definitely recommend spending an evening at the nighttime luau KA' WA'A! Our family had an amazing time experiencing the Hawaiian songs, dances, stories, and delicious foods. This is also an experience that you should book in advance, so be sure to check out the dates that the luau will be offered during your March visit.

I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes, Sophie! I am sure you are going to absolutely love Aulani and enjoy a restful and memorable vacation together. Thanks so much for visiting planDisney again, and please stop by again anytime if we can help with other questions for this or any other Disney adventures you may be planning.

Wishing you a most magical time!
