From the relaxing lazy river and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, to the beautiful decor that pays homage to the Hawaiian culture, Aulani offers a unique way to experience an idyllic island paradise with Disney magic. Enough reminiscing about this beautiful resort and let’s get the answer to your question!
I recently spoke to an Aulani Cast Member who confirmed that the DVC villas have Sealy Euro Plush pillow top mattresses. In addition, they do not have pillow toppers for the mattresses. When my family stayed in a one bedroom villa there for my 40th birthday, we found the mattress to be surprisingly comfortable. By the way, don’t forget that with one bedroom villas and larger, you’ll have a king size bed, a full kitchen, and an in-unit washer and dryer. These extra amenities (you can view the full list of amenities
here) are especially helpful when you want to bring meals back to the room for that dedicated kitchen table or to clean out your bathing suits before heading home.
Speaking of which when you’re at Aulani, my motto is “Don’t sleep on the food and snacks!” Aulani offers an amazing selection and some unique takes on local cuisine. Some of my favorites include the Mickey-shaped musubi and the kalbi short ribs platter from
Ulu Café, the Mickey Ears shave ice from
Papalua Shave Ice, and an Aulani Special blended coffee from
Off the Hook. If you’re feeling adventurous, Ulu Café also offers delicious poké bowls with toppings of your choice!
