Aloha, Brian!
What can I say, except you're welcome here at planDisney. We know the way to help you plan the most magical vacation on earth. Brian, there's no place I'd rather be than riding the Hawaiian roller coaster ride at
Aulani, which is why our family has visited several times. It's one of my favorite Disney Vacation Club properties because when the spirit of Aloha meets the magic of Disney, it is special indeed.
Brian, the
Aulani app is very helpful for navigating the Aulani Resort, checking out the
Daily 'Iwa, which will keep you up to date for all of the activities at the Resort, Resort Check-in, and more. The app and your Aulani account are the same login as your My Disney Experience account. Make sure that your Aulani reservation is linked to your My Aulani account, and then once you download the app, you should be able to log in with the same login as your My Disney Experience account (it's actually the same across all Disney Resorts in the United States, including Disneyland.)
When our family visited last year, both my husband and I downloaded the app and manually linked our Aulani reservation to the app using the reservation number. If you need to do that, I would do that first.
If your family is listed as Guests on the room reservation, they may be able to download the app and log in (using the same login as they use for their My Disney Experience account) and link the reservation using the reservation number to the app. Alternatively, you can try to link them as Family & Friends.
Now, it has been noted that sometimes, Stitch can cause a little trouble using the app and trying to link Family & Friends. So, give this a try, but if you have trouble, you may need to speak to Guest Information at Aulani. However, it has been suggested to use a computer to link your party through the My Aulani Dashboard on the Aulani Resort website. After this is complete, you should be able to relaunch the app to see your Family & Friends. If this doesn't work, I recommend calling Aulani Guest Information at (866) 443-4763 or stopping by the Front Desk to see if they can help you if you are already onsite.
I hope this helps you, Brian! If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, surf back here to see me, and I'll be so happy to help you.
