Hey there, hi there, ho there, Brad! You're as welcome as can be at planDisney, and I'm so happy to see you here with another great Disney Vacation Club question!
Being a
Disney Vacation Club Member is nothing short of magical. Knowing that my family's next pixie-dusted adventure is always just around the riverbend is priceless. But as magical as it is, with Use Years, booking windows and expiration dates, it can be just as confusing. That's why I'm here, Brad, and I'm more than happy to answer your question today!
Your August
Use Year runs from August 1st to July 31st of the following year. That means that unless you
bank your Vacation Points into the following Use Year, your travel must be complete by July 31st of that Use Year. For example, you are still currently in your August 2021 Use Year, and those Points, if not used or banked, will expire on July 31, 2022. For your June 2023 vacation, your travel will occur within your August 2022 Use Year, so, your 2022 Use Year Vacation Points will be used.
Remember that regardless of Use Year, you can book your vacation at your Home Resort 11 months before your check-in date, and you can book a stay at any other DVC Resort seven months in advance. So, for your June arrival date, you can book as early as ... NOW! Your Home Resort booking window opens July 10, 2022! Happy booking, my friend!
Just be aware that your 2022 Vacation Points will expire July 31, 2023, so, if for some reason you have to cancel your vacation, those Points will have to be used by that date. Your deadline for banking your Vacation Points is March 31, 2023, so if you may have to cancel, just be sure to do it by that date so that you can bank your Points into your 2023 Use Year to be used at a later date. Points equal magic, so, may no Point be left behind!
I hope this was helpful, Brad, and I hope you book the magical vacation of your dreams any day now! Please feel free to stop again any time with any planning or DVC questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
