In August I am staying at the Grand Floridian in the outer building concierge level. I have been told that it is noisy and it is difficult to get your kids asleep. Is this. Common problem?

    Hi Edward,

It sounds like you will be staying in the Sugarloaf Lodge at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.  Lucky you!  This is my parents' favorite place to stay while on vacation at Walt Disney World.  The concierge service at this resort and the delectable treats served on and off throughout the day are truly spectacular.  My son still reminisces about the long weekend he spent there with his grandparents.

I imagine that the few guest rooms close to the concierge lounge would be the ones most likely to experience higher noise levels.  While the lounge can be practically silent at some times of the day, it can be busy in the morning before guests head out to the theme parks or in the evenings as they return.  Therefore, to avoid this problem I would simply request a room on a high floor in Sugarloaf Lodge or at the end of the hallways away from the concierge lounge.  That should eliminate any chance of the problem you describe in your question.

Have a lovely vacation next month at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort!
