Greetings Kelly, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
As a mother, I can understand that you must be very carefully planning your family’s upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. We need to look after several details, especially when travelling with a larger family.
I believe your question is very personal, and depends on what each family considers important when going on vacation. I never leave home without travel insurance, as I personally consider it crucial to having a stress-free vacation. We are used to traveling to different states in our country and abroad, and sometimes the unexpected can unfortunately happen. Two years ago we had to cancel our vacation on the night before leaving because my husband got extremely sick. Since we had purchased insurance, all of our cancellation fees were covered and we were reimbursed for travel expenses already made. Of course coverage depends on what type of insurance you purchase. There are many available options out there so you do your research to decide if buying travel insurance is the right choice for you.
Moms Panel tip: don’t forget to stop by the
Baby Care Centers during your visit. They are located at all four theme parks, and are the best place to take you baby for diaper changes, a snack, and even a nap! Your family can join you and baby in a relaxed environment, and everyone can take a much needed break while park touring during hot afternoons.
I hope this helps you while planning. Please stop by with more questions!
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
