In August, we will have our first trip to WDW. Could you name your top 10 movies to get my boys (ages 2 and 7) ready for the characters/rides? Y'all are AWESOME!!!

    Hi Lori!

Thanks for the compliment on the panel! I'm so glad that you have found it helpful in planning your vacation.

This is a really great question!! Here are my picks for movies that will prepare your boys for the characters and rides that they'll see on vacation.

    1. Toy Story and Toy Story 2
    2. Cars
    3. Finding Nemo
    4. Monsters Inc.
    5. Dumbo
    6. Peter Pan
    7. The Lion King
    8. Fantasia
    9. The Incredibles
    10. A Bug's Life

Characters from these movies will be in the parks for meet and greets, and there are plenty of rides based on them. For example, Toy Story Midway Mania at Hollywood Studios, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor at the Magic Kingdom, It's Tough to be a Bug, Festival of The Lion King and Finding Nemo the musical at Animal Kingdom, etc.

If your sons aren't completely opposed to princesses, I would recommend the classics like Cinderella and Snow White in addition to The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.

I hope this helps and gives you some ideas for some great movies to watch together as a family before your first Disney vacation. Have a wonderful time!
