Hi Anne,
I feel the force is strong in your two young ones. The
Jedi Training Academy (JTA) at Disney's Hollywood Studios (DHS) is super popular among young Padawans & I haven't heard of any plans to discontinue it. Can you imagine the uprising on the dark side if they did?!
Guests must be between the ages of 4 & 12 to participate in the JTA. It is held several times daily. The times will be listed on your
Times Guide that you pick up along with your Guide Map when you enter DHS.
The number of participants is limited & they start registration first thing in the morning & stop once the spots are filled for the day (they usually fill up fast during peak seasons). If this is something your sons want to participate in, head that way as soon as you finish up at Hollywood & Vine. They will need to be present with you to register. They will ask them a couple of questions to make sure they can follow some basic directions. They will each be given a slip with an assigned time to report back for training.
They don't typically start registration until regular theme park hours so I think you'll have time to enjoy your breakfast & then head over to sign up. JTA is located near Star Tours which isn't that far from Hollywood & Vine. Registration is held near the JTA stage. There will be Cast Members there who were directing potential Padawan participants to the registration area. It isn't anything fancy or well-marked, just a Cast Member with a clipboard but they get the job done very efficiently. So while the actual sign up location may vary, it will be held near the JTA stage - just ask any Cast Member near that area.
Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
