Going in Aug. during free dining for 10 days. There are many TS restaurants I want to experience. In order to save additional money, I was thinking that my husband and I could share meals or just order appetizers or desserts at some meals. Is this allowed?

Hi, Kimberly!   Congratulations on your upcoming trip!    Getting the Free Dining is a great deal!

Let me just make sure you know what you get with the plan:   for each night of your stay, each guest in your party receives One Table Service Meal (non-alcoholic beverage, entree, and dessert)  One Quick Service Meal, and One Snack (popcorn, ice cream, etc.   Menus will be clearly marked with what qualifies for a snack.)   You can use these credits as you like, so if you want, you can use 2 Table Service credits one day, and just use Quick Service meals the following day.   Just make sure you use up your credits by the end of your vacation as they expire at midnight on the date of your checkout.

Dining plan guests are not permitted to share meals.   I suggest you each order something different and try something from each other's plate!   If you choose to just order appetizers or desserts for your meal at a Table Service restaurant, you should just pay out of pocket.

The Disney Dining Plan really offers the perfect amount of food per person, so I really would not worry about running out of credits.   Try to plan one Advance Dining Reservation a day to make sure to use up the Table Service credits, and have fun trying the Quick Service locations for you other main meal.   I always find that 2 main meals a day is just plenty (with a Mickey Ice Cream bar tossed in as a snack between meals!)

Have fun trying all the great restaurants around WDW!  Advance Dining Reservaitons can be made by 90 days in advance by calling (407)WDW-DINE.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
