    Hi Lisa!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to see that your vacation is just a few days away!  I cannot wait to return to the Most Magical Place on Earth.  It is true to say that many procedures have been modified with the re-opening of the theme parks, and security screening has undergone some adjustments.  On arrival at any of the theme parks or Disney Springs you will firstly undergo a temperature screening before you can enter.   If your temperature is lower than 100.4 F you will be directed to the security screening area.  This will seem a little different from your previous visits, but still extremely efficient and will possibly appear to be a quicker process.  There is no queueing and opening your bag at a table, for searching.   Instead, at most locations, Guests will walk through scanners.  If anything sets off the sensor, you will be taken to an area for a quick search of your bag or backpack.  For items that you know may set the sensor off, it may be advisable to take them out of your bag and hold them separately.   Official advice is that if you can use clear bags to carry your belongings, it might make the process more speedy, and if you could limit the amount or size of bags you carry, that will also be helpful.

During the phased re-opening of Walt Disney World, we may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience.  Please read this information about Returning to a World of Magic, and Parks and Tickets: Know Before You Go, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official updates as they are announced.

We know you have many questions about what this all means for your upcoming visit.  Please know we are working to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, and we look forward to providing an update as soon as we have more information to share.  Come back and ask as many questions as you like!  We are always happy to help you plan your vacation.
