Hiya Sharon,
Welcome to
planDisney! This question warms my heart as someone who has taken her little Mouseketeer multiple times to Walt Disney World Resort. Oh, did I mention my little one isn’t even a year old yet?
As a new mom, I know how important it is to ensure your baby has fun and is safe during your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. You will be happy to know that any attraction classified as “All Ages and “Any Height” is safe for your baby to ride. That said, even though it is suitable for your little one, I always say to use your best judgment. On my daughter’s first visit at four months old, we took her on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and she hated it. It was too loud for her, and she did not enjoy it. She felt the same way about Haunted Mansion, which broke my momma heart. She preferred Kilimanjaro Safaris, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Toy Story Mania! When we took her back recently, she had a new set of preferences!
I hope this was helpful, Sharon. As you continue thinking through our baby’s first visit, I’d love to share some of my favorite tips I have accumulated from my trips. In my experience, some attractions will allow you to wear your baby in a baby carrier. This was a dream for us when we were trying to plan naps. Check with the Cast Member at the attraction queue to verify whether your baby can be carried in a baby carrier. Lastly, take advantage of the Baby Care Centers in the Theme Parks. The summer can be scorching and humid, so use the Baby Care Centers to cool off, feed your Baby Mine, and pick up any baby essentials you need.
Please come back and see us if you need anything else, Sharon!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
