Hi Andrea,
Thank you for stopping by planDisney with a question!
With any medical issue, I suggest that guests consult with a doctor before visiting the Walt Disney World® Resort! Take some time to review the Walt Disney World®
Attractions List and filter by each theme park to see the rides in each park - you can filter by Walt Disney World® Location towards the top right of the landing page for that Attractions List. You can also filter by height or age (preschoolers, kids, tweens, teens, adults). Attractions good for preschoolers
might be a possibility for someone with neck problems, but the guest will need to, with the advice of a doctor, check the details for each attraction to make a decision.
My family has certainly traveled to Disney with a variety of medical issues and have needed to plan for those. I wish there was an easy and direct answer to your question. Given the seriousness and range of any specific medical issue, we cannot provide any direct assurances that specific attractions are entirely safe for a guest. I can say that I have read attraction information prior to our visits and read the signage posted at each attraction to make a decision about boarding a ride. I also have looked at online videos to see rides prior to our earlier visits, before I had experienced most attractions.
The good news is that there are a number of different kinds of attractions and a variety of entertainment experiences at the Walt Disney World® Resort. My family loves resort days where we relax at the resort hotel and enjoy the resort activities. We also usually visit
Disney Springs and walk around enjoying the shops. If you have not already booked a vacation package, I suggest a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. My family prefers resort hotels within walking distance to a theme park. Disney's Contemporary Resort, for example, is about a 10 minute walk to Magic Kingdom while Disney's BoardWalk Inn is about a 10-15 minute walk to EPCOT.
My family also considers food one of the must-do experiences at Disney! We make
advanced dining reservations for our favorite restaurants, especially for character dining experiences. A few of our favorites include Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table, Tusker House Restaurant, Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, Space 220 Lounge, 'Ohana, and California Grill.
Andrea, looking at your arrival date, I am excited about your visit during the
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. You will be there at the end of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays and could possibly see the
Candlelight Processional. Take a look at the details and consider reserving a
dining package to get tickets for the show. Reservations open on October 29th. It is one of my favorite Disney holiday traditions!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
