Hi J, and welcome back to planDisney!
It's nice to see you here with another great question. Your Disneyland Resort vacation is just a few weeks away, and you must be so excited!
It's always good to prepare for any weather during your theme park visit, mainly since many theme park experiences occur outside. While most
Disney California Adventure Park attractions run during mild precipitation, some close during intense rain storms or high wind.
Golden Zephyr,
Goofy's Sky School,
Jumpin' Jellyfish,
Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters,
Silly Symphony Swings, and
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail typically pause during downpours, and all outdoor attractions will suspend operations during thunderstorms. The
Disneyland mobile app will have the most up-to-date information about an attraction's status.
World of Color - ONE is a water-based show that will go on rain or shine. It may be canceled in the event of high winds, so if severe weather is predicted, check the Disneyland mobile app throughout the day and speak with area Cast Members as showtime approaches. The viewing area isn't covered, and umbrellas might block the view of other Guests, so I like to bring disposable ponchos. World of Color - ONE is an incredible show; when I first saw it, I audibly gasped more than once. Be sure to set an alarm on your mobile device for a few minutes before noon to secure a spot in the
virtual queue.
I hope this has been helpful, J. No matter the weather, I know you'll have a memorable day at Disney California Adventure Park. If you need to avoid the rain for a bit, duck into the Disney Animation Building in
Hollywood Land. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy indoors for a while. My daughter could stay in the
Animation Academy all day. Thanks for coming to see us at planDisney, and have a magical day!
