What attractions will be closed during September 29th through October 3rd?

Hiya, Vicki! Welcome back to planDisney!

Your Walt Disney World adventure is just around the corner. How exciting! You’ll be strolling down Main Street U.S.A., hiking around the Tree of Life, exploring faraway galaxies, and walking around the world (showcase) before you know it! So let’s dive in and get you the information you’re looking for.

You can find attraction closure information on the Walt Disney World Hours and Events Calendar. I took a look at the dates you mentioned, and the following attractions are currently scheduled to be closed for refurbishment (attraction availability is subject to change).

    Magic Kingdom
    - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    - Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

    EPCOT
    - Spaceship Earth

Keep in mind that this doesn’t include theme park areas or attractions that have been closed and will be replaced by new attractions. For example, the Muppets area of Hollywood Studios has closed and will be replaced by a new Monsters, Inc. land. Similarly, parts of Dinoland U.S.A. are now closed and will be replaced by a new Tropical Americas area, and the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island in the Magic Kingdom are now closed and will be replaced by the Cars-themed Piston Peak National Park.

You can always keep an eye on the Hours and Events Calendar as your arrival date approaches, and I’d also suggest checking the Disney Parks Blog for up-to-date news and updates.

I hope this info helps you create an amazing vacation itinerary, Vicki. Don’t hesitate to come right back if you have any other questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
