We are attending WDW in November 2016 w/ a big group/family reunion. I was curious about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I know the Christmas Party is a separate ticket. But how does WDW know vs the people who spent the day at the park & stay?

    Hi Nikki,

What a magical gathering you have planned with your family and friends! I have been fortunate enough to attend several large group gatherings/reunions at Walt Disney World and have such unforgettable memories of these times. Be sure to note your group's celebration on all of your reservations, including your advanced dining reservations. You never know when a little extra Pixie Dust will fall your way!

The dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 haven't been released yet, but I anticipate the party details being similar to years past. Guests attending the party need a separate ticket for admission and will receive a special party wristband when entering Magic Kingdom with their party ticket. The Cast Members throughout Magic Kingdom check all Guests beginning at the official start of the party (historically 7:00 PM) for wristbands and assist Guests who do not have party wristbands towards the exit. Since wristbands are required to enter any attraction or "lands" of Magic Kingdom, the number of day Guests dwindles quickly once the party has begun. Guests who are not attending the party, but who are already dining at Table-Service restaurants when the party begins, are allowed to finish their meal first and then exit. Cast Members continue checking for wristbands throughout the party evening.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your vacation planning question Nikki! Please let us know if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help you plan your next grand adventure.

    Blessings,
