I will be attending WDW March1 for 7 days, staying on site. When we have early opening for each park, are all rides available during that extra hour? If not, how do I find out which ones will not be open? Thank you.

Hi Sharon! Looks like your Walt Disney World vacation is coming closer. About one month to go and I am sure you are all excited.

When staying in a Disney resort you have the opportunity to enjoy the Extended Theme Park hours in the morning and in the evening. This gives you the best chance to enjoy the parks without the massive crowds you will find mid day.

Start by checking the Calendar and Park Hours for the days you will be at Walt Disney World. If you plan on heading to a park for the morning hour be sure and arrive before that hour begins. Crowds start lining up early and if you arrive too late you won't even get into the parks until half way through the extra hour. To get the full benefit arrive a half hour before the park will open early.

Generally all the attractions are open in the parks that are ride type. Shows and many character meet and greets might not be available. The list can change often so its best to get the latest information from your resort concierge when you arrive. All the major attractions in the Animal Kingdom park and Hollywood Studios park will be open. You can even see some of the Star Wars characters during that time.  Epcot will only have the attractions open in Future World but this will also extend and include the new Frozen ride and meet and greet of Anna and Elsa. During the evening hours more opens up that will include the World Showcase attractions.

The Magic Kingdom is the one park that is a bit different. This park has the most attractions available then any other park. They will generally only open up Fantasyland and Tomorrowland attractions during the morning hour. Almost everything is open for the extra night time hours.

Hope this helps with your planning. Again, get the latest list of attractions that are open and not in refurbishment etc when you arrive at your resort.
