We are attending Summit and my daughter has a 2 day hopper pass. We will not be able to attend Disney. Is this pass transferrable?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Renita. Thanks for dropping by with your question.

Congratulations to your daughter and her team for making the Summit competition. My daughter and her team will be attending as well so I know all about the hustle and bustle it takes to get ready for this event. If you haven't been before it is a really fun competition!

The Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets you get with your competition entry fee are transferable, Renita. However, they do have a strict expiration date since they are meant to be used during the competition. You'll need to verify on the Varsity website for your specific competition dates to know what the expiration is. All of that information is laid out for you specifically on the Varsity website. Your gym should also have that information for you.

Renita, along with your daughter's park hopper ticket is included admission to the ESPN World Wide Of Sports Complex. She will need this to enter the competition area each day she competes. If you reassign her ticket, you will need to purchase her separate entrance tickets to ESPN World Wide Of Sports instead because they will scan her MagicBand or ticket card as she is entering. You can purchase entrance to the ESPN WWOS each day that way in case her team doesn't make it to day two (fingers crossed that won't happen) you won't be out additional monies.

If you don't reassign her ticket, maybe she can visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks with a friend or a teammate if they are going. My daughter is older and went to the parks just with her friends last year and they had the best time. If this is an option don't forget to make her park pass reservations for each day she'd like to visit. Park pass reservations are basically like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park you'd like to visit each day. This is necessary to gain access to the parks.

I hope this helps, Renita. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Good luck!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
