Hello there, Glen. Welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us your question. We
are the panelists you're looking for - and I am absolutely thrilled to help out.
My goodness, what a treat to celebrate May the Fourth at the Disneyland Resort and (even better) also attend the special ticketed event, Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. I had the pleasure of attending this event last year on May the Fourth and I had the best time.
On to our first order of business, let's make sure you're all set for the festivities. You are most welcome to bring your lightsabre with you during your visit. After all, what is a Jedi without their lightsabre? We all know and agree that blasters are "so uncivilized." I would suggest looking over the
Costume Guidelines for the special event to make sure you don't encounter any snags upon entry.
Although the official event start time isn't until 9:00 p.m., you are welcome to enter Disneyland Park early at 6:00 p.m. Last year, my friend and I used this time to line up our
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering in the
Disneyland app for the evening. There was also a Foodie Guide highlighting all of the festive eats for the celebration - keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any updates. Your ticket also gives you access to Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from the event and there were some fantastic characters available for an "image capture." Finally, make sure to head over to Tomorrowland to experience the transformed
Hyperspace Mountain. You'll receive your briefing from Admiral Ackbar and don't worry...it's (not) a trap!
Glen, I hope this is helpful as you prepare for your out-of-this-galaxy adventure at Star Wars Nite. Please come back to visit us with any other questions that you may have. We're looking forward to having you there as Obi-Wan - you're our only hope.
May the Force be with you,
Michelle
