    Hi! We are attending the Quest Cheerleading competition and I wanted to know what rides will be open for the Cheerleading Party held after-hours at Animal Kingdom on 3/10/24. Thanks!

    Welcome to planDisney! 

    As a former high school cheerleading coach, I continue to be amazed by today's cheerleading competitions. Your countdown has started and I am so excited to see that you will be at the Walt Disney World® Resort soon. It looks like the Quest and UCA All Star National Championship cheerleading competitions are back-to-back with Quest occurring on March 8th and 9th and UCA happening on March 9th and 10th at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

    From the ESPN Wide World of Sports homepage, click on Learn More and then click on the Events & More tab. If you go the UCA link and click on Event Email Communication, then click on Team or Spectator links, within those documents you should see a link for the Final Event Information Packet. In that packet you will see the list of available attractions at the private party on March 10th. Based on that information, at Disney's Animal Kingdom, the following attractions should be open:

    • Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
    • Avatar Flight of Passage
    • Na'vi River Journey
    • DINOSAUR
    • It's Tough to be a Bug!
    • TriceraTop Spin

    I will also note that I had some help from a few of our other panelists! Both Alison and Kay have cheer expertise. I was able to confirm this information on the UCA site but did not see the final event information linked on the Quest page at the time I checked. Hopefully, you will receive that final info in the next few days if you have not yet. 

    Disney's Animal Kingdom is quite lovely at night. Pandora - The World of Avatar is especially gorgeous and Avatar Flight of Passage is my family's favorite attraction. One additional tip - if you have little ones with you and have not yet experienced DINOSAUR, you may want to consider whether or not they really want to see dinosaurs in close proximity!

    Lisa, I know your time at the competition will be busy and there might be some stress involved. I am wishing on the Evening Star and waving all of the pixie dust I can, hoping that the team you are rooting for does well and has fun!
