We are attending the parks with another family. We are staying at different Disney resorts. What's the best way to book our rides together? We both have genie plus and are planning on using LL.. We do not want to travel to resort at 7am!

Hi Kimberly, welcome back to planDisney, formerly known as the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Can you believe you'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort in less than a week?! I'm glad to hear you'll be staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. I encourage you to take advantage of the 30-minute early theme park entry available at every park, every day. The theme parks are filling up this month and early entry is a great way to experience a must-do attraction or two before the peak crowds arrive.

Disney Genie+ service is another great way to spend less time waiting in line for attractions. Genie+ lets Guests book the next available Lightning Lane arrival time for over 40 attractions throughout the four theme parks. You can book a Lightning Lane attraction in the My Disney Experience mobile app for up to twelve members of your Family and Friends list at a time, Kimberly, as long as they have a valid admission, park pass reservation, and Genie+ connected to their My Disney Experience account or profile. To add the other family you'll be experiencing the parks with to your Family and Friends list in the My Disney Experience mobile app, ask a member of the other family to:

    1. Log into their My Disney Experience account on the app and click the three small lines at the bottom right of the home screen.
    2. Scroll down and click "My Profile."
    3. Scroll down and click "Show My Linking Code."
    4. Again, click "Show My Linking Code."
    5. If they're in the same room as you, show you the linking code; otherwise, send you a screenshot of the linking code, which expires in 30 minutes.
    6. Repeat as necessary for other family members.

At the same time, you should do the following in your My Disney Experience app:
    1. Log in and click on the three small lines at the bottom right of the home screen.
    2. Scroll down and click "My Profile."
    3. Click on the Family and Friends List tab.
    4. Click "Add a Guest."
    5. Select "Scan their linking code" and click the "Scan Linking Code" button.
    6. If you are in the same room as your friend, hold your camera over their linking code to connect; otherwise, click "Manually Enter a Code" and enter the Manual Code listed on the screenshot your friend sent you in step five above.
    7. Repeat as necessary to connect with other members of your planning party.
    8. As an additional step, make sure "Yes, share my Family and Friends list" is selected on the bottom of your Family and Friends list in the app. This makes it easier for your group to connect and make plans together.

Once everyone is connected as Family and Friends, one person should be on the Tip Board of their My Disney Experience account (three small lines --> Tip Board) ready to book the group's first Lightning Lane attraction at 7:00 a.m. sharp each park day. You are welcome to do this from the comfort of your Disney Resort hotel bed. Have a discussion the day before about the group's must-do attractions at each park. You can even customize your Tip Board before 7:00 a.m. so that it prioritizes your top picks, bringing them to the top of the Tip Board when it comes time to book your next attraction. Otherwise, attractions are listed alphabetically.

    Plan magic; planDisney.
