We are attending Oogie Boogie bash. My son has an inflatable dragon costume that only covers up to his waist. Is this allowed for the event?

Hey there, hi there, Claudia! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you stopped by with a last-minute question for us!

I am thrilled to hear you will be attending Oogie Boogie Bash! It is a frightfully fun experience and one I look forward to year after year. Now, Oogie Boogie may be a gambling man, but I would take some caution when deciding on an inflatable costume. The dress code guidelines for special events state that layered costumes or costume props that surround the body are strongly discouraged. There is no explicit rule that states it's not allowed, but please remember that ultimately, the Security will have the final say on what is allowed. I do think an inflatable costume would be hard to do lots of walking in the park, as well as being able to enjoy attractions, because you would have to deflate it or remove it for each ride.

To prepare for your late night of fun, be sure to check out the guide on the Disney Parks Blog to make sure there's nothing to be missed. I highly recommend going into the event with a loose plan of the top things you hope to accomplish. My other top tip would be to make sure to get dinner in during the mix-in time before the official start to the event, or mobile order your dinner earlier in the day for a time during the event. Mobile ordering times do fill up during the event, and you don't want to miss out on the fun because you are standing in a line to get food.

Claudia, happy haunts to you and your crew! Tell Oogie Boogie I said hello!
