I will be attending the NCTE convention in Nov. (Yay!) I noticed some sessions are @Yacht & Beach Club and others @Coronado Springs. We only have 15 minutes in between sessions. I know typically no buses run between resorts. Any exceptions for conventi

Hi, Clix! Combining a convention with WDW is such a unique experience. You're going to have so much fun with all the other English teachers from across the country -- learning, networking and being a big kid, too! The Yacht & Beach Clubs and the Coronado Springs Resort are both great venues for conventions, but they are a bit spread out. And you're right...Disney resort buses do not travel between resorts.

My suggestion is to go to the NCTE site and plan your convention agenda based on the speakers, sessions and workshops you'd like to hear/attend. Then, make your decision about where to stay based on your agenda. Plus, if a school system is sponsoring your trip, you may be limited by the amount the system is willing to spend on your lodging. Y&BC are deluxe resorts, and CSR is a moderate resort. Then, you can focus your attention on the resort where the majority of your sessions will be held and not have to worry about transportation issues.  If there happens to be a "not-to-miss" session or speaker, you can certainly take a taxi from resort lobby to resort lobby.

Also, be sure to make any lodging reservations and purchase discounted park tickets through your organization. This will be difficult (if not, impossible) if you wait until you arrive or just before you travel.

The last suggestion I would give you is to contact NCTE about the possibility of their providing shuttles back and forth from Y&BC to CBR. I sure hope this helps you plan! Let me know if I can help you with other questions you may have.

Have a wonderful day and a magical trip to WDW! Thanks for teaching...you're a hero!
