Attending MVMCP this Thursday 12/3. Right now they are calling for rain/thunderstorms. What happens if they cancel the parade and fireworks? Or, does it take a lot for them to actually cancel and not just post-pone? Hoping the forecast changes!

    Hi Christi,

My goodness how exciting to be attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party this week!  One thing is for certain, whether you have clear skies or a rainy evening there will be plenty of Christmas Magic filling the park for your family to enjoy.  If weather causes some events, such as Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade or the evening spectacular fireworks show Holliday Wishes, to be cancelled or postponed you will hear announcements overhead keeping you informed.  Walt Disney World is always focused on "safety first" and if there is lightning in the area it could affect these events.  My advice is to have a backup plan for what to do if there is a delay or cancellation of one of these events.  If it is raining a great idea is to attend one of the inside character dance parties.  Last year my friends and I made an impromptu stop to dance with the Country Bears during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  You haven't partied until you have danced "Shake It Off" with Liver Lips McGrowl!  You will soon discover that the dance parties are fun for adult and children alike.

Have a MAGICAL vacation Christi!  Remember to bring your ponchos with you to your party Thursday night.  Just because it rains doesn't mean you have to stop having fun!

    Blessings,
