Hey Howdy Hey Cara and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you so much for stopping by with your question on
Disability Access Service and Advanced Planning availability. I would be happy to give you a little more insight into the specifics especially considering the availability during special events.
It is my understanding that DAS is still available during special events such as
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. That being said, you should still have access to your advanced planning options as long as you already applied and are approved for this benefit. You have it correct, that at the 30-day mark before your park visit, you should be able to reach out to the text-only number you were given to schedule your attractions. Since you will be able to get into the parks starting at 4 PM that evening, you should be able to book your selections at that time.
Did you know that one other feature of
DAS standard selections is that it is available through your
My Disney Experience app? This is a recent upgrade and is super easy to use. Once you are in the parks, you can log into your My Disney Experience app, tap on the three horizontal lines on the bottom right of your screen for more options and you should see a tile for DAS. Tap on this tile and set up your next DAS return time for your next attraction and you are all set!
As we continue to move closer to your vacation, make sure to keep up with all the excitement of the holiday season over at
