Hello! We are attending MNSSHP and are trying to get reservations to Cinderella’s Royal table for dinner. The only time available is 3:50 pm and doors to the party open at 4 pm. Would we be allowed early for dining or will we be out of luck?

Hi Lindy and welcome to planDisney!

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is such a fun special event!  You've reminded me that I need to get my tickets before they sell out.  My kids love seeing their favorite characters dressed up in Halloween costumes and it's always special trick-or-treating around Magic Kingdom Park.  My favorite thing to do is take PhotoPass photos with special "Magic Shots" that are exclusive to the party.

Entry to Magic Kingdom with Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets is very strict at 4:00 PM, so you would not be able to enter the park prior to 4:00 PM, even if you have an earlier dining reservation.  My best advice is to keep checking back for openings to dine at Cinderella's Royal Table after 4:00 PM because Guests are constantly changing and canceling plans.  You would be surprised to see all of the openings I find last minute at really popular restaurants in the week prior to my visits and even the day before.  In my opinion, checking for Disney dining reservations is easiest on the My Disney Experience Mobile App.  If I'm determined to find a dining reservation, I'll pull it up on my phone throughout the day, every day, to see if anything pops up.

If your only Magic Kingdom visit during your vacation is to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, I highly recommend eating dinner prior to heading to the park so you can maximize your park time.  Even though the party doesn't officially start until 7:00 PM, you will still have an extra three hours of attraction time before it starts.  'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is my favorite restaurant for dinner and has easy access to Magic Kingdom Park to zip over on the monorail after dinner.  They open at 3:30 PM for dinner, so you can be on your way to the park after you eat.  If you are wanting to eat in the park, Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Adventureland is a hidden gem.  It has become my daughter's favorite restaurant and she always requests it during our visits.  It's a completely different experience than Cinderella's Royal Table, but it's fun and the food is delicious.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
