Hello! Attending the MNSSHP next month and wonder if a whistle may be worn with a costume for a referee or a lifeguard. The whistle would be for costume/prop purposes only and would not be blown at any time. Thank you!

    Boo-to-You, Anne!

It's so exciting that you're going to be attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year. It's a great time to go because there have been some really fun additions for the 2019 Halloween season! There's a brand new fireworks show, Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, and some new additions to some of our favorite attractions, like the interactive treat trail inside Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor where you can teach some of the monsters about the Human World celebration of Halloween!

When it comes to your costume plans, according to the safety rules and regulations, whistles are a prohibited item at Walt Disney World Resort so you would not be able to include one as part of your outfit for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. I suggest getting creative and making one for yourself! Maybe try constructing a fake whistle out of tinfoil or modeling clay and put it on a lanyard or a string of beads. That way you can still have your prop and not risk having it taken away from you at the security check, which wouldn't be a very magical start to your evening. Be sure to check out the official costume guidelines to make sure that everything you're planning for the night fits within the rules and is good to go!

    Have a spooktacular time, Anne!
