BOO to you, Hali! Thank you for visiting the haunted halls of the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your illuminating question. Let's get ready to have lots of spooky fun at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Hali, when
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party rolls out in August, there will be something new in addition to the yummy treats, the funny costumes, and the hauntingly awesome parade. Disney is unveiling a
brand new fireworks show just for the party, and you'll be there to see it! How spook-tacular is that?
When it comes to viewing those fun, flashy fireworks, a dessert party is the cat's meow. Essentially, you have two ticket options for the dessert party: The
Halloween Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, or the
Halloween Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. Both choices include a selection of delectable desserts served up under the patio in the
Tomorrowland Terrace area, which is located roughly between the Plaza Restaurant and the entrance to the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor. The difference between the two is just where you'll watch the actual fireworks show. If you go for the Plaza Garden Viewing option, Cast Members will escort you outside just before the fireworks begin to a reserved viewing area a few steps away. Guests who haven't chosen Plaza Garden Viewing will simply stay in the Tomorrowland Terrace and view the fireworks from the patio. In my experience, the patio viewing is great if you can get a spot right next to the railing. Otherwise, the roof can obstruct your view somewhat. The Plaza Garden Viewing option offers totally unobstructed views, although you will likely be standing through the show. Your choice comes down to which view you prefer.
Hali, I hope this helps you have a blast during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. And as they say in
The Haunted Mansion - "Hurry baaack!"
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
