We are attending MNSSHP for the first time very soon! Do we need to bring our own trick or treat bags? Do you have any suggestions for the evening? Is it better to watch the first or second parade? Thanks. We are so excited

    Hi Deborah,

I'm so excited for you!  Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite special events offered at Walt Disney World!  It follows Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party very closely:)  In fact, my friends and I already have our tickets for this year and are counting down the days (literally...we're Disney addicts and have countdowns all the time).

You don't need to take your own trick or treat bags, because the park does supply them.  However, from experience, they fill up quickly so ask for a few extras.  Make sure you eat before you get there.  You don't want to waste any time stopping for food UNLESS you get a table service restaurant you really want to go to.  There's too much fun to be had, and there are soooo many yummy and FREE snacks to enjoy!  I watch the second parade because you'll find that most Guests watch the first, leaving the attraction lines MUCH shorter than normal.  ONE HUGE TIP:  make sure you do some trick or treating at the very end of the night...Cast Members LOVE to fill your bags up to the top with candy when the park is closing.  Best place to do this is towards the back of the park right before closing time.

I hope this helps, Deborah.  Have a SPOOKTACULAR time at the party!  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel:)

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
