We are attending MNSSHP. That will be our first park we go to that week. I’ve heard others say they were able to book fast passes during the pre-party hours of 4-6 pm. If I book fast passes, will my magic band read that as one of our other park days?

Hello Jennifer, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

You are going to have a spooktacular time at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year. I am pleased to tell you that you can select FastPass+ experiences between 4:00-6:00 p.m. on the day of your party. When you arrive at the Magic Kingdom, you will see a special line for party goers to enter. Cast Members will begin verifying your credentials and issuing wristbands, prior to 4:00 p.m. They will begin allowing guests to enter at 4:00 p.m. Keep in mind that policies are always subject to change and the time they allow guests to enter could change as well.

Another thing to keep in mind is if you are planning to visit another theme park earlier in the day making use of the FastPass+ system in that park, you must redeem all of your initial 3 FastPass+ selections in that park before making selections in the Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately, the system will not allow you to make those selections in advance. As long as availability remains, you can select your experiences in the My Disney Experience Mobile app or a FastPass+ kiosk in any Disney Theme Park. If you are not visiting another park, you can make your selections 30 days in advance of your arrival online or in the app.

In order to make sure that you are only using your tickets for the party when you arrive, you can prioritize your tickets to make sure that you are not using one of your other park days. My fellow panelist Jill, does an amazing job of explaining that process. Have a hauntingly good time!

    Happy Halloween,
