We are attending Mickey's Not-so-scary-Halloween and were wondering what time we should arrive at the gate? I know it opens at 7 p.m., but wasn't sure if we need to arrive earlier?

    Hey, Mercede!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the best special events of the year at Walt Disney World Resort. We love the candy trails, rare Disney character meet and greets, special Disney sweet treats and the dance parties. My favorite is the Haunted Mansion float in Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade and Happy HalloWishes Fireworks. They are sorcery in the sky!

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party officially begins at 7:00 p.m. but Cast members will begin allowing party Guests in at 4:00 p.m. I would arrive just before 4:00 p.m. so you get an extra three hours of attractions and fun before the day crowds are asked to exit by 7:00 p.m.

Disney Dad Tip 1: Watch out for the Headless Horseman and Hitchhiking Ghosts during Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade. The best place to view the parade is along the wooden walkway in Frontierland or just in front of the Hall of Presidents attraction.

Disney Dad Tip 2: Bring a backpack for candy. During the night, you will be able to treat-or-treat along the candy trails. You will be provided with a small bag and Cast Members will put the candy in the small bag. You may then transfer the candy into the backpack. We gathered 10 pounds of candy and only visited half the candy trails!

Mercede, enjoy making many Spooktacularly Magical Memories!
