Hiya Kristen and Welcome to planDisney,
Early fall is a perfect time to visit
Walt Disney World Resort. Depending on your arrival date, most children have headed back to school and often you will find smaller crowds at the theme parks and resorts. If Mother Nature cooperates, the Florida heat has hopefully started to ease and the best part of a fall trip is you can enjoy the fall special events like
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival (yes please!) and
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
This frightfully fun, special event takes place at Magic Kingdom on select evenings from mid August until Halloween. Guests are treated not only to time on most Magic Kingdom attractions, there are plenty of spooktacular entertainment options, delicious holiday treats, trick-or-treat locations throughout the theme park and great character interactions with the Disney pals decked out in their costumes. I mean how cute is it to see Piglet in a ghost costume? Guests holding a ticket for this event will be able to enter Magic Kingdom at 4pm EST on their party day. Our family typically skips a theme park in the morning and early afternoon on our party day and relaxes at our resort or plays a round of miniature golf at
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf. This way we save up our energy and are ready to party the night away.
As much as I love the added benefits of Disney Genie+ and the Individual Lightning Lane purchases, those services are not available for purchase during the party. No tricks at this Halloween event though - the good news is you should find that you will be able to practically walk on to most, if not all, available attractions. Remember to watch out for those Happy Haunts lurking around the Haunted Mansion. They are always looking for someone to join them.
I hope you will
stop back and see me if you have any additional questions.
Wishing you a bootiful trip,
Margaret
