We will be attending Mickey's very merry Christmas party and we have dinner reservations at the crystal palace at 7. Will we be missing anything by eating at the start of the party? Thanks!

    Hi there Kimberly,

I actually think you've made a great decision!  At 7 PM, many guests are arriving and the park can tend to be a bit crowded at this time, until people disperse into the various areas.  I think it's a great idea to arrive early, since you can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4PM with your valid Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party admission.  This will mean you can show up at Crystal Palace by 6:45 in hopes of being seated by 7:00 sharp, if not earlier.  It should take an hour at the most to have Winnie the Pooh and all of his Hundred Acre buddies make their way to your table, which means you should be all wrapped up by 8:00 or shortly thereafter.

By the time you are all done, the crowds will have died down and you will be able to catch Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas Time Parade at 8:15 PM.  If not, you can head over to enjoy your favorite attractions and cookie and cocoa stations before heading back towards Main Street USA to catch Celebrate the Magic and Holiday Wishes fireworks at 9:15.

If you miss the first parade, you can always catch the second run at 10:30 which is actually usually less crowded than the earlier parade.  I actually like to watch from near the Liberty Tree Tavern restaurant if possible!

Hope this helps and that you have an amazing holiday visit to The Walt Disney World Resort!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
