We are attending on June 18th and wondering with the evening festivities if during the day is less crowds than usual?

    Hi, Karen! Welcome to planDisney.

I'm happy you are visiting the Disneyland Resort in only a few weeks. I understand you are visiting the Theme Parks on a day of an after-hours event. While there is no way to predict how busy a park day will be accurately, here are some tips to help you maximize your day:

    • Arrive early! Security begins operating at 7:00 a.m., an hour before the parks open. Cast Members usually begin scanning Visitors into the parks around 7:30 a.m.
    • Consider purchasing the Disney Genie+ service, which gives you access to Lightning Lanes, a quicker line at select attractions. A perk of the service is unlimited digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos from the day.
    • Utilize Mobile Order via the Disneyland App. This service allows you to order food and drinks at select dining locations.
    • Make time for entertainment! On the day of your visit, a performance of the "Magic Happens" Parade is scheduled. I highly recommend making time to see it! Check the Disneyland App for showtimes.
Just a few final thoughts: please remember you must exit the park by 8:00 p.m. If you have a Park Hopper Ticket, this is a good time to visit Disney California Adventure Park. Visiting the Downtown Disney District is another great option!

I hope this helps you prepare for your upcoming visit, Karen. I wish you the happiest visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!

    Your Pal,
    Alejandra
