Hi Jennifer, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Boo to you!
I attended Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party twice this year – once with kids and once with a group of friends – and I still did not manage to do everything there is to do at the party. With that in mind, I personally have chosen not to attend the
Hallowishes Fireworks Dessert Party. At this year’s party, you were able to check in an hour and a half before the fireworks to enjoy the desserts and drinks, and I think that's a long time to spend in one place when you could be trick-or-treating or enjoying attractions or shows. Attending the dessert party also means missing the first parade, which might change your strategy for the rest of the night. Hallowishes is a really fun show, but it doesn't feature complex projections like some others, so I don’t think a “prime” viewing spot is really necessary, though that could change if the show is updated. My strategy is to grab a delicious party-exclusive treat (or dig in to my trick-or-treating bag) and watch from Main Street, U.S.A. or the hub area.
Having said all of that, the dessert spread looks amazing, and it would be relaxing to not have to worry about staking out a spot and have a guaranteed great view! These are just a few things to consider when making your decision. Also, since you’ll be attending a future Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, keep in mind that timing, offerings, and other factors could change, so keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements.
Have so much fun planning your spook-tacular visit, and please come see us if you have any more questions.
Have fun with the happy haunts!
