Welcome to planDisney, Manuel! How exciting that your family will soon be dining at
Goofy's Kitchen! You're in for a meal that combines great food, lively entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to meet some beloved Disney friends. As a parent myself, I can tell you that character dining often creates some of the sweetest memories of a Disneyland Resort vacation.
I'm happy to share that
characters are scheduled to appear during dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. Your experience will typically begin with a visit from Chef Goofy himself, who greets Guests near the entrance and poses for photos before they head into the restaurant. Once you're seated, additional Disney pals make their way throughout the dining room, stopping by tables to wave, interact, and pose for pictures. Character appearances are always subject to change, but during my family's visit, we were delighted to see friends such as Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Chip, and Dale making their rounds.
I'm also happy to confirm that
Disney Gift Cards are accepted as a form of payment at Goofy's Kitchen. While a credit card is required to secure your dining reservation, the card on file is not used to automatically pay for your meal. Instead, you'll settle your bill at the conclusion of your dining experience, which means you can absolutely use one or multiple Disney Gift Cards to cover the cost of your dinner.
Since you'll be visiting with little ones, here's a Q-Tip: have your camera ready at all times! Character interactions often happen unexpectedly, and some of the best photos come from those spontaneous moments when a Disney pal stops to wave, or dance. Those candid memories are some of our family favorites.
