Hi, Beth!
What a wonderful treat you're in for at Star Wars Weekends! If you are a fan of the films, you will truly be tickled at all of the character experiences in Disney's Hollywood Studios!
First, don't miss the park open; when we were there, there were Storm Troopers standing on top of the roof that covers the turnstiles. Their helmets projected their voices, and the commentary they had going on about the folks in the crowd, etc., was
very entertaining.
If you have any younglings in your party, obtain entrance in the Padawan Mind Challenge. Add the special feeling of being escorted out onstage and meeting Luke Skywalker at the end of the competition, and you'll have a favorite memory of this trip, to be sure!
The Hyperspace Hoopla will present you with more character photos than you can imagine, too. Don't miss it.
The year that we managed to get to a Star Wars Weekend, there was a fantastic parade, as well, which took the place of the usual parade. Check the Times Guide immediately upon entering so that you know when the fun will begin, and get yourself a great viewing location at
least 30 minutes prior to the parade start time (Keep an eye on the parade route; if folks seem to be lining up early, pick a spot, grab a snack and wait. Your view will be worth it!) Check your Times Guide, too, for information about where and when you can a group photo with Jedi Mickey!
There are autograph opportunities, too, with celebrities from the films.
