I am attending my very first MVMCP this December. I am so so excited. I have been to WDW many times but never this time of year. What time would you suggest I get a spot for the parade, and where would be a great location? Thanks!

Hello Heather! I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how extra magical Walt Disney World is during the holiday season. It is my absolute favorite time to visit, and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is my favorite event. Last year I found a perfect spot for Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade right in between Frontier Land and Liberty Square, in front of Country Bear Jamboree. The Christmas Parade starts in Frontier Land, so you will be the first to view it, and also the first to run to Splash Mountain or Space Mountain after the parade passes by. That is my usual game plan, and I plan to use it again this December when I take my family. Also, don't forget to stop by a refreshment area and pick up a complimentary cup of hot cocoa and a cookie before the parade. In terms of time, I suggest that you catch the later parade. Historically the parade runs twice during the special event, once at 8:15 p.m. and once at 10:30 p.m. The later parade is always the least crowded. If you walk by the area 15-20 minutes before the parade start time, I bet you'd still be able to find a good spot. Make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for any updates on Christmas Party details for this year.

I hope this helps, and if you need anything else, please let us know. Have a magical holiday vacation! Enjoy Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!
