HI.. if we are attending Disneyland and purchase a park hopper, when we go to the other park (California Adventure) at 1:00pm and are told it is at capacity and we are not able to get into the other park at all that day, are we refunded the hopper cost?

Hello Michelle, and welcome to planDisney!  How exciting that you're planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort here soon!

If you do purchase a Park Hopper ticket, the current policy states that park hopping is subject to availability, and the ability to visit the second park is subject to the park's capacity limitations, operational hours, closures, and other restrictions, and is not guaranteed.  However, even though there is not a refund if you are unable to park hop, it is unlikely that park hopping will be restricted.

If for some reason the ability to cross over and switch between parks is unavailable, guests will be notified in real time via a push notification from the Disneyland App.  I highly recommend that you download the app before you arrive, turn on your notifications, and check the Park Hours calendar on the Disneyland app for the most up-to-date Park Hopper hours, as they can change depending on the day and park.

I hope this information is helpful for planning your trip Michelle, please do not hesitate to bring any other questions back here to planDisney!

    Have a magical day!
