We will be attending a Disney After Hours event at the Magic Kingdom. We are staying off site and plan to have dinner at the Polynesian at around 5:00. Can we enter MK for the event if we arrive by the boat from Poly / What do you recommend for parking?

    Hi Jodi!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am excited to see you have booked Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park. You will enjoy exclusive time in the park, with access to many rides and attractions with much shorter lines.  Don't forget to pick up the delicious treats available from carts located around the park.  I would recommend you leave your vehicle in the Magic Kingdom Park parking lot.  From there you will take a parking tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center and you can either take a short walk to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, or you could board the Resort Monorail for a quick hop to your dinner reservation (it is literally one stop along).  After dinner you could board the Resort Monorail again, for a ride around Seven Seas Lagoon, stopping at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa before arriving at Magic Kingdom Park, or you can take a short boat ride across the lagoon direct to Magic Kingdom Park.  You can enter the park by whichever means of transport you use.  After your event you can either use the monorail or the ferryboat to get back to the Transportation and Ticket Center to collect your car.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
