Hello, Ida! How lovely to see a fellow Washingtonian stop by planDisney!
I can already tell we share a few things in common, including planning ahead for a Disneyland Resort visit later this year! As you know,
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party is a special after-hours ticketed event that typically takes place at Disney California Adventure Park during select nights in September and October. The event start time is currently listed as 6:00 p.m., which means that only Oogie Boogie Bash ticket holders would be able to remain in Disney California Adventure Park past that time on each of the 24 event dates. While I have not yet seen the schedule of dates released, I'm keeping my eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any forthcoming announcements.
If you aren't interested or able to secure an Oogie Boogie Bash ticket on one of the event nights, you still have a couple of great options to make the most of your evening hours across the Disneyland Resort. First, as you noted, a
Park Hopper ticket will allow you access to Disneyland Park anytime after 1:00 p.m. So, when
Disney California Adventure Park closes to non-party ticket holders, only those Guests with Park Hopper tickets will be able to move over to
Disneyland Park, as long as capacity allows.
If you have a 1-Park Per Day Ticket, you still have so many dining, shopping, and entertainment options available to you within the
Downtown Disney District or at one of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels. One of my favorite family memories was taking my girls to dinner at
Goofy's Kitchen inside the Disneyland Hotel on a day when we didn't have theme park tickets. They absolutely loved twirling their napkins while their favorite characters paraded around the restaurant - a classic character dining tradition at Disneyland Resort. For a more adventurous-yet-elevated experience, I love visiting
Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar which has some absolutely delicious island-inspired specialty cocktails, mocktails, and small bites. It's a fairly popular dining location, so don't hesitate to grab an
advance dining reservation if you see one available or use the
Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability feature in the Disneyland mobile app.
I hope this is helpful advice, Ida, as you continue planning out your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Halloween Time is a wonderfully spell-binding season to visit and this year will be exceptionally exciting as the
Disney100 anniversary celebration continues all throughout 2023. You are sure to be in for the most memorable visit, yet!
Please feel welcome to
send us another question anytime, Ida. I hope to see ya real soon here at planDisney!
Magically yours,
Tishra
