Greetings, Keith, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can’t wait for your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort and the
D23 Expo 2019 this summer! What an exciting time to be a Disney fan, especially with the highly-anticipated opening of
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in just a few short weeks.
According to the latest
“Know Before You Go” Disney Parks Blog post, you won’t need a reservation to enter
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge after June 23, 2019. Instead, the Disneyland Resort will use a virtual queueing system as needed. Here’s how it will work: Once you’ve entered Disneyland Park, you’ll be able to request to join a boarding group to visit Galaxy’s Edge by using the
Disneyland app, or a non-technology option. Then, you’ll be free to enjoy other attractions and Disney magic until you get called back to enter the land. Of course, do keep in mind that after June 23, 2019, access to Disneyland Park,
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and experiences is subject to capacity.
